Hundreds of Students
Learn About Water at HydroMania
 he Lehigh Valley Water Suppliers, Inc. (LVWS) completed
the first-ever HydroMania festival May 10. Approximately 700 third-and
fourth-grade students from across the Lehigh Valley attended the
free event to experience hands-on demonstrations and classroom
presentations that focused on two key themes: "What is a
watershed?" and "How can I protect my watershed?"

50 volunteers from member water utilities, DEP staff and various
affiliated organizations across the region were on hand throughout
the day to help students on their quest to learn all about source
water protection.
 ydroMania
was sponsored by DEP and was developed through a partnership
between the water suppliers group and the Discovery Center of
Science and Technology. Cedar Crest College donated their facilities
for the day including a large tent that was used to house the
various exhibitors.
