GreenTreks began in 1993 as GreenWorks,
a Pennsylvania-based nonprofit organization with the mission of spreading
a simple message: real people are making a difference to protect our
planet — and you can, too! As GreenWorks programs became the
inspiration for thousands of Pennsylvanians, interest in our methods
and messages grew outside of the state. Thanks to the success of GreenWorks,
GreenTreks is now working
to share stories from across the nation and other parts of the world.
