The Plight of Pennsylvania's Farmlands
Since the end of World War II, Pennsylvania has been flourishing.
Residents are achieving the American Dream of owning homes and
cars. Super highways are constantly being built or reconstructed.
During the past 50 years, people have moved out of the cities
creating huge housing developments. This phenomenon is known
as Urban Sprawl. Land is a non-renewable resource.
Land development is the states booming industry, but
its also the most pressing environmental issue facing
Pennsylvania today.
